St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt

I have to admit, the first time I celebrated St. Patrick’s day was in college. One of our friends made a cabbage and corned beef dinner for us and it was amazing! It was the first time I had corned beef.

My kids LOVE St. Patrick’s day. We went to a huge St. Patrick’s Day parade one year, and they still talk about it 3 years later. They loved it. Now St. Patrick’s day has become a fun day.

We decorate, deck out in green, make crafts, and hopefully catch a parade!

Kid’s (at least my kids) love scavenger hunts, so I created a St. Patrick’s Day themed scavenger hunt that you can do around your house.

I added fun questions and actions to the cards to make it a little more exciting and engaging!

St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt

You can create your own scavenger hunt with simple clues written on slips of paper, the kids won’t know the difference. But, if you’re looking for something a little more fancy, you can download my Scavenger hunt here.

The template includes instructions, tips, and all the answers, so it’s super simple for you to put together! And it’s cute! 🙂

It includes some blank cards as well if you want to add any!

If you’re creating your own here are some tips:

  • Scavenger hunts are really for any age, if you gear it toward the older kids, find a way for the younger kids to join in.
  • It goes smoother if you have someone supervising the hunt.
  • The more adults involved, the more fun it can be.
  • Don’t worry about rhyming your clues. Just give a subtle suggestion to the next clue.
  • Make them do something on the way to their next clue like skip, jump, walk like a duck, etc…
  • Don’t make it too long or the kids can get frustrated.
