Why Pumpkin Faces?

Who doesn’t love pumpkins – at least in some way or another? Think about it, you have pumpkin cookies, pumpkin drinks, you can decorate pumpkins, what’s there not to like?

I love decorating pumpkins in fun ways. I love all the faces you can make, which inspired this easy and simple pumpkin flip book. You can draw these all yourself, or if you aren’t feeling that confident you can print off my pdf template.

This template was so fun to make, and my kids had a lot of fun playing with it. You can bind the flip book with just about anything. I used binder clips because I had them on hand, but you could use glue, staples, or even a report cover.

How To Make a Pumpkin Faces Flip Book

Here’s how we made our flip book. I will go over the supplies you need and then provide step by step instructions for easily creating this book.

Supplies for pumpkin faces.

Pumpkin Flip Book Supplies

  • Template (the template includes 2 sizes 8.5″ x 11″ and 4.5″ x 5.5″)
  • Scissors
  • Stapler or something to connect the pages together
    • I used binder clips. You can also glue the edges together or use a folder or report covers

Step By Step Instructions

Step #1: Print out the template.

Step #2: Cut along the dotted lines from the left to the right, without cutting all the way across. Leave about half an inch along the left margin so you can bind the pages together.

Who Can Use This Pumpkin Flip Book Craft?

You can do this Halloween flip book activity at home with your kids. But this could also be a great thing for teachers to do with preschool or elementary-aged students at school. It even makes a great daycare craft too.

Once complete little kids love lining up and creating the different faces.
